Biography
Early years
Born in 1947 in the family of Alexei Dmitrievich Davydov (1921 - 1988), a participant in the Great Patriotic War. After the war, Mikhail's father worked in the USSR Ministry of Defense. Mother Margarita Efimovna (1919 - 2009) is a doctor.
He graduated from the Moscow school number 125. He was engaged in swimming and volleyball. In high school, became interested in basketball. In the school team three times became the champion of Moscow. Mikhail Davydov received his first judicial experience in 1962. Graduate MAI and MOGIFK [2] .
Career
Since 1966, Mikhail Davydov begins to judge the championships of the Soviet Union, and since 1967 the Games of the peoples of the USSR. In 1971, Mikhail Davydov becomes a judge of the All-Union category. Already at the age of 25, he is awarded the title of international judge.

He worked at the first in the history of the Final Four in the European Champions Cup. In 1988, at the Olympics in Seoul, he held the final of the women's basketball tournament. From 1971 to 2011, he was a member and president of the National Judicial Committee. Since 2000, Davydov has been the FIBA Commissioner, since 2002 he has been a member of the FIBA Technical Committee, since 2005 he has been an instructor of the FIBA judges.
On January 22, 2008, the 60-year-old Mikhail Alekseevich again had to go to the floor as an acting arbitrator. Due to the non-attendance of the Bulgarian referee Miroslav Thomas, the match commissioner Davydov served the ULEB Cup game between UNICSOM Kazan and the Dutch Eifel Towers [3] .
