Geographical position
The city is located in the southeastern part of Chad, east of the Salamat River, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [1] . Juna is located at a distance of approximately 567 kilometers east-southeast (ESE) of the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the official census of 2009, the population of Juna was 61,746 people (29,669 men and 32,077 women). The population of the sub-prefecture in the age range was distributed as follows: 52.3% - residents under 15 years old, 42.8% - between 15 and 59 years old and 4.9% - aged 60 years and older [2] .
Transportation
The nearest airport is located in Zakuma National Park [1] .
