Geographical position
The city is located in the southeastern part of Chad, south of Wadi Juruf, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [1] . Am Habile is located approximately 523 kilometers east-southeast (ESE) from the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the official census of 2009, the population of Am Habile was 24,373 people (11,464 men and 12,909 women). The population of the prefecture according to the age range was distributed as follows: 52.7% - residents under 15 years old, 42.1% - between 15 and 59 years old and 5.2% - aged 60 years and older [2] .
