Geographical position
The city is located in the southeastern part of Chad, east of the wadi Amageti, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [1] . Abge is located approximately 475 kilometers east of the country's capital, N'Djamena .
Population
According to the 2009 official census, the population of Abge was 13,272 people (6,439 men and 6,833 women). The population of the prefecture according to the age range was as follows: 50.2% - residents under 15 years old, 43.7% - between 15 and 59 years old and 6.1% - aged 60 years and older [2] .
