The political-literary newspaper "European" was published in Dresden from February 7 to June 7, 1864 . A total of 10 numbers.
The Russian writer and journalist L. P. Blummer published and edited the newspaper in 1861, traveling abroad, where he became close friends with A. I. Herzen , N. P. Ogarev, and other Russian emigres.
The motto of the newspaper: "Welcome through the truth."
The vagueness of the political program of the newspaper caused a critical appearance on the pages of Kolokol (No. 1 March 1864). In the same year, the newspaper ceased to exist.
