Story
Dana lives in a posh Beverly Hills mansion with her father. Her mother died when she was 5 years old. Dana is not attracted to her boring life and the plans that her father is building about her further education. She wants to be a “free spirit,” like a mom who was a surfer . She has a mom's diary and a lot of her photos. Dana decides to run away from her mother’s homeland to South Africa and visit all the places from her diary there. Dana flies off to Durban , leaving Dad a note. In Africa, she meets two girls: a local resident of Pusha and arrogant surfer Tara from the Roxy team. Along the way, she becomes a victim of a robbery.
Pushi brings Dana to the place where she now lives herself. This is a small commune living on the ocean and arbitrarily capturing a piece of the beach. Pushi also takes part in Dana's travels to her mother’s places. Once, Pushi takes Dana on an excursion to the city slums to show her her real homeland and takes her to a local disco. There, Dana accidentally encounters a man who robbed her, and also finds out that the guy from the Grant commune who she liked is smuggling elephant tusks . At this time, Dana's dad goes to Africa in search of a daughter.
Suddenly, the police come to the commune together with bulldozers, which raze all illegal buildings. Part of the commune remains in ruins, while another part goes to Jeffrey Bay , where weather forecasters promise good waves in a few days. At the same time, the Roxy brand of clothing for surfers is selecting girls for his team there. Pushi competes and she manages to win. That evening, Dana reconciles with her father. Now she has the last task: to conquer the waves of Jeffrey Bay, this is the last place from my mother’s diary.

Reviews
For the most part, critics took the film poorly. Criticized mainly for a simple predictable plot, praised for surfing and the views of South Africa [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] .
