Ruak ( Thai แม่น้ำ รวก ) is the right tributary of the Mekong River. The river is 327 km long. The height of the mouth is 366 m above sea level.

The mouth of the river is located on the border of Thailand and Burma opposite Laos , in a place known as the Golden Triangle . The source of the Ruak River is located in the Dan Lao Mountains of Shan State ( Burma ) and at the confluence with the River, forms the border between Thailand and Burma at the northernmost point of Thailand [1] . Then the river turns east until it flows into the Mekong in the town of Ban Sop Ruak, the Wang tambon of the district of Chiang Rai province. Popular with tourists (especially the region known as the Golden Triangle ).
