Biography

Born in a family of linguists V. A. Plungyan and E. V. Rakhilina . She graduated from 57th school , in 2005 she graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities with a degree in art history. Candidate of Art History (since 2009). Since 2010 - Senior Researcher at the State Institute of Art Studies . His research interests are painting and graphics of modernism, Soviet art, the art of the interwar period, problems of realism in the 20th century, Soviet and European drawing, art associations of the 1920-1930s, the Leningrad school, the Saratov school, types and evolution of printed graphics, modern graphic schools, an artist’s book, an early Soviet poster, etc.

Since 2009, teacher and author of courses on foreign art of the first and second half of the XX century. at the Faculty of Cultural Studies at the Institute for the History of Cultures (UNIC). Since 2007, she has been a member of the initiative interdisciplinary group of young researchers “New Moscow”, dedicated to the artistic and political life of the interwar period in the USSR. Within the framework of this association, she conducted a series of open lectures and was engaged in the preparation of events about the art and everyday life of the 1930s. in the museum-apartment of M. Bulgakov (2007-2011), in the State Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val (2011-2012), in the Jewish Museum and the Center for Tolerance (2013). In 2012-2013, together with V. Lomasko, curator of the exhibition “Feminist Pencil-2” (a parallel project of the 5th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art ). In 2013, the editor of the collection of articles: Russian everyday life in the mirror of gender relations / Comp. N.L. Pushkarev. - M .: UFO, 2013 .-- 864 p. In 2017-2018, together with A. Selivanova, curator of a series of exhibitions at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the Shabolovka Gallery, which, according to Kommersant columnist A. Tolstova, “aimed to show that Soviet modernism is not described by ideological terms“ socialist realism ”, “ Totalitarian art ” or “Stalinist style” ” [1] [2] .
