Podguže ( Polish: Podgórze ) is a village in the омomжy county of Podlaskie Voivodeship of Poland . It is part of the commune of Lomza . According to the 2011 census, 588 people lived in the village [1] .

Geography
The village is located in northeastern Poland, south of the Narew River, at a distance of about 9 kilometers southeast of the town of Lomza , the administrative center of the county. The absolute height is 132 meters above sea level [2] . National Road 63 passes through Podguže.
History
The village begins to be mentioned in written sources from 1240 [3] . According to the “List of Populated Places of the Lomzhin Province”, in 1906, 490 people (256 men and 234 women) lived in the village of Podgurzhe . Religiously, the entire population of the village professed Catholicism. Administratively, the village was part of the commune of Kupiska, Lomza County [4] . In the period from 1975 to 1998, the village was part of the Lomza Voivodeship .
