Geography
The city is located in the southwestern part of Chad, west of the Logon River, east of the Tandjile River, approximately 325 kilometers southeast of the country (SSE) from the country's capital N'Djamena . The absolute height is 508 meters above sea level [2] .
Climate
The climate of the city is characterized as tropical, with dry winters and rainy summers ( Aw in the Köppen climate classification ). The average annual temperature is 27.7 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest month (January) is 25.5 ° С, the hottest month (April) is 31.6 ° С. The estimated multi-year rainfall is 976 mm. Throughout the year, the amount of precipitation is unevenly distributed, most of which falls in the period from April to October. Most precipitation falls in August (273 mm) [3] .
Population
According to the 2009 official census, the population of Bere was 63,870 people (30,060 men and 33,810 women). The population of the sub-prefecture in the age range was distributed as follows: 51.9% - residents under 15 years old, 44.6% - between 15 and 59 years old and 3.5% - aged 60 years and older [4] .

The nearest airport is in the city of Lai [2] .
