History
The village of Bolshe Uzenka is mentioned in the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province according to 1889 information. The village (aka Skrebnitsky farm) belonged to the Verkhne-Kushumskaya volost of the Novouzensk district [3]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province in 1910, 58 men and 67 women lived in the village, the village was inhabited by former landowner peasants , mainly Russian , Orthodox [4] .
In 1919, as part of the Novouzensk district, the village was included in the Saratov province [5] .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located in the Volga region , within the Syrt Plain , belonging to the East European Plain , on the Bolshoi Uzen River , at an altitude of about 60 meters above sea level [6] . Soils are dark chestnut solonetzic and solonchak soils [7] .
The village is located 16 km in a straight line eastward from the district center of Ershov . By road, the distance to the regional center of Ershov is 17 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 200 km [8] .
