Isaac Pavlovich Grinberg ( April 9 or June 9 [1] 1937 , Chisinau , Bessarabia , Kingdom of Romania - November 25, 2017 , Ulyanovsk , Russia ) was a Soviet and Russian electrical scientist, inventor, entrepreneur, and public figure. Doctor of Technical Sciences, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1983) [2] , Honored Inventor of the Ukrainian SSR [3] .

Biography
Born in Chisinau (at that time as part of the annexed Romania Bessarabia ). On June 13, 1941, he was sent with his family to a special settlement in Central Asia (his father was detained until 1957). In 1951–1955, simultaneously with his studies, he worked as a laboratory assistant at Synzherey secondary school No. 1 ( Moldavian SSR ). He graduated from the factory courses and in 1955-1957 worked as a tractor driver at the Draganesht machine-tractor station (MTS). After serving in the Soviet Army (1957–1960), he was demobilized for disability and in 1960 he settled in Zhytomyr , where he graduated from the correspondence department of the (1965) [4] . In 1960-1988 he worked in the Zhytomyr production association "Electric meter" - first as an auxiliary worker, assembly fitter, supervisor, then as an engineer, head of the laboratory; subsequently became the general designer, the head of the specialized design bureau (SKTB) and the deputy general director for scientific work of the association.
In January 1988, he was transferred to Ulyanovsk to organize a center for microelectronics (UCM), in 1989 he was appointed deputy general director for scientific work of the Ulyanovsk center for the application of microelectronics and automation in mechanical engineering [5] . Professor of the Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute [6] .
Being engaged in business, he opened in Ulyanovsk "Baskin-Robbins" and the store "Yves Rocher", and later the pizzeria "Sicily" and the children's store "Toy Country" [7] . He founded the public movement "Ulyanovtsy". Under his leadership, his enterprises in Ulyanovsk established mass production of gas detectors for operation in explosive environments and a series of fire safety sensors [8] . Author and co-author of inventions in the field of electrical engineering, mainly measuring instruments and sensors [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] . He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor" (1970), "Veteran of Labor" (1984), the sign "Excellence in Instrumentation of the USSR" (1985). Winner of the Central Committee LKSMU behalf N. Ostrovsky [4] .
He died on the night of November 25, 2017 after a severe and transient illness.
In February 2018, a governor’s scholarship “In the name of Isaac Pavlovich Greenberg” was established in Ulyanovsk
The author of the monographs “Self-tuning measuring amplifiers with a test signal” (Moscow: Energiya, 1978), “Induction meters of variable magnetic fields” ( Kiev : Tehnika, 1982), “Galvanomagnetic converters in measuring equipment” (with co-authors, Moscow: Energoatomizdat, 1984).
Family: wife, five children. My brother is a Moldavian scientist in the field of tobacco growing, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences (1977) Joseph P. Grinberg (1931–2009) [14] .
