Alexandria is a village in the Ershov district of the Saratov region , as part of the rural settlement of the Perekopnovsky municipality .

Geography
The village is located on the left bank of the Small Uzen River, about 32 km in a straight line in a south-westerly direction from the city of Ershov (41 km by road) [2] .

History
It was founded in 1885 by immigrants from the city of Alexandria of the Kherson province [3] .
According to the List of populated areas of the Samara province, according to information for 1889, the resettlement village of Alexandria belonged to the Novotroitsk volost of Novouzensk district . About 400 inhabitants lived in the village [4]
Not later than 1910, Alexandria was included in the Krasnyanskaya volost . According to the List of Populated Places of the Samara Province in 1910, the village belonged to Krasnyanskaya volost, 269 men and 262 women lived here, the village was inhabited mainly by Russians , Orthodox , in the village there was a literacy school, 2 windmills [5] .
In 1919, as part of the Novouzensk district, Alexandria was included in the Saratov province [6] .
