Mamdi ( Arabic: Muqāṭaʿâtu Māmdī , مقاطعة مامدي , fr. Mamdi ) is one of 2 departments of the Lak administrative region in the Republic of Chad . The Mamdi Department is the 16th largest (among 63 departments of Chad) in terms of population [2] - 222,899 people (114,580 men and 108,319 women) [1] .
