Mace, Georgina

Georgina Mary Mace (born July 12, 1953, London ) is a British ecologist and population biologist , a specialist in biodiversity . Member of the Royal Society of London (2002), professor at the University of London. Winner of the Heineken Prize (2016) and other distinctions.

She graduated from the University of Liverpool (Bachelor of Zoology, 1976). She received a Ph.D. in evolutionary biology with a comparative ecology of small mammals in 1979 from the University of Sussex (in 2007 she will be awarded an honorary doctorate).
