Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Information and Analytical Center "Science" of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Born on August 9, 1955.
In 2016, he was elected a corresponding member of the RAS .
Married, has three children. The daughter is a journalist. [2]

He graduated from the Faculty of Technical Physics of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, engineer-physicist (1978), candidate of technical sciences (1986), senior researcher (1989), doctor of economic sciences (2003), corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2016).
1978 - 1991 MEPhI: engineer, Art. Engineer, MNS, NS, SNS, participation in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident (1987).
The main areas of scientific research : patterns and processes of destruction of materials and structural elements of nuclear power plants, methods for assessing the life of a nuclear power plant by the parameters of resistance to destruction, experimental mechanics of destruction.
1992-2001 - Ministry of Science of Russia (SCST of Russia, Ministry of Industry and Science of Russia) - chief specialist, head of the Department, head of the Department for the Development of the Scientific and Technical Potential of the Regions and Science Towns.
The main directions and results of research : the theory of innovation, the laws of formation and development of national innovation systems, the problems of innovative development of local territories, including science cities, the development of development programs for the cities. Obninsk, Dubna and Korolev as science cities of the Russian Federation.
