Within the structure of the administration of the municipal formation of the resort town of Gelendzhik, it is referred to as the Arhipo-Osipovsky urban district [5] .

On the territory of the rural district, its activity as a territorial administrative body of the municipal entity of the resort town of Gelendzhik is conducted by the administration of the Arkhipo-Osipovsky inner-city district. [7] [8]

History
On February 1, 1963, in the Krasnodar Territory, the Gelendzhik District was abolished, the territory of which was divided between the Tuapse District and the Gelendzhik allocated to the city of regional subordination.
On December 30, 1964, a number of village councils of the Tuapse rural area were transferred to the Gelendzhik City Council. On January 1, 1965, the Gelendzhik City Council was reassigned to the Arkhipo-Osipovsky Village Council of the Tuapse District. [9] [10] [11]
In 1993, the village councils of the Krasnodar Territory ceased their activities in favor of rural administrations and were replaced by rural districts. As part of the local government reform, the territory subordinated to the city administration of Gelendzhik, by 2005, the resort city of Gelendzhik with the status of a city district was transformed into a municipality . The resort town of Gelendzhik as an object of the administrative-territorial structure of the Krasnodar Territory included, in addition to the city itself, also 4 rural okrugs, including Arkhipo-Osipovsky.
