According to the Life in the Minology of Basil II (end of the 10th century) and the Life in Sinaxar of the Church of Constantinople (the 10th century), Nestor suffered for his faith in Christ under the emperor Decius and the hegemon (ruler) Perga of the Pamphylian Poplia (Puplia). Archon Irinarch took Nestor into custody and sent him to court to the igemon. At the trial, Nestor confessed Christ as the true God, and for this he was executed. In the Minology of Vasily II, Nestor is depicted crucified on the cross.
According to other sources, the name of the hegemon Poplius (or Publius) was Pollion, Lelien - Epolyon [1] .
