The painting depicts the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus , who is sleeping in her arms. The artist’s refined and gentle manner of writing is manifested in the transfer of blue clothes with arabesques with dark blue flowers, as well as in very accurate and skillful work on a golden halo and background. The artist’s picturesque style embodies the features of international Gothic , and is very similar, in this case, to the writing style of Gentile da Fabriano .
The painting contains the signature of the artist.
