Edition History
For the first time, the press organ of the Pushkin Commission of the Department of Russian Language and Literature as part of the Imperial Academy of Sciences appeared in 1903 - it was the publication "Pushkin and His Contemporaries", which was published until 1930. In 1936, in connection with preparations for the Pushkin anniversary , the Pushkin Commission, which was a member of the Institute of Russian Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, launched the publication “Pushkin. Temporary of the Pushkin Commission. ” The first editor of the new publication was Julian Oksman , and the main tasks of the printing organ were the preparation of a new academic publication of Pushkin’s works and preparations for the 100th anniversary of the poet’s death. After the first two editions of Vremennik were released, its first editor was arrested and Dmitry Petrovich Yakubovich headed the preparation of the next four issues. The publication published previously unknown or unpublished texts of Pushkin, research and articles by scientists of the Pushkin scholars, reviews of scientific works, a chronicle of the preparation of the poet’s publications and preparations for the celebration of the Pushkin anniversary. The sixth edition of The Temporary Book was published in 1941 and, due to the outbreak of war, the publication was stopped [1] .
In 1958, the activity of the Pushkin Commission and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR was restored, and Academician Alekseev was appointed chairman of the commission. In 1962, he headed the editorial board of the resumed Temporary of the Pushkin Commission, as the main printing organ of the Pushkin Commission. Regular publications of the news of Pushkin studies, reviews and criticisms of scientific works and publications, the newly discovered texts of Pushkin, the memoirs of his contemporaries about the poet and the life of his circle were resumed. All publications were divided into three main areas - scientific articles and publications by leading Pushkin scholars, a bibliography and reference materials, a chronicle of the work of the Pushkin Commission. Gradually, scientific publications began to prevail significantly in the publication. After 1996, the publication of the Temporary Book was temporarily suspended, but was again resumed in 2002. To date, 32 issues have been published; in connection with the bankruptcy of the Nauka publishing house, the latest issues are being prepared by the Rostok publishing house.
