Geography
The village is located in the southwestern part of the Lipetsk region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the eastern spurs of the Central Russian Upland , on the banks of the Skakun stream (a tributary of the Olym river), at a distance of about 20 kilometers (in a straight line) east-southeast (ESE) from the village of Volovo , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 185 meters above sea level [2] . The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters.
