Biography
Born in the family of a poor peasant; since 1922, after graduating from a rural school [4] , he began working in agriculture and latrine [3] .
Member of the CPSU (b) since 1929 [4] . In absentia he graduated from the History Department of Leningrad State University [2] [5] .
Since the beginning of World War II , being the first secretary of the Luga District Committee of the CPSU (b) [2] [3] [5] , he led the construction of defensive structures on the outskirts of Leningrad . From August 1941 until the liberation of Luga from the German invaders, he acted behind enemy lines [3] : headed the district headquarters of the partisan movement [6] , the Luga partisan detachment, remaining secretary of the underground party district committee, from 1942 - commissioner of the 1st, from 27.10. 1943 [7] - commissar of the 9th partisan brigades [2] [3] [5] , member of the military council of the 6th, 9th and 12th brigades [6] . Since February 1944, in the position of 1st Secretary of the Luga District Party Committee, he organized work to restore the economy of the area destroyed during the occupation [4] .
Since 1946 - the 3rd secretary of the Leningrad regional committee of the CPSU (b) [4] [5] . From December 1948 to June 3, 1950 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Leningrad Regional Council [2] [5] .
11/20/1950 arrested [5] by the so-called. Leningrad case [2] [3] , sentenced to 25 years in prison [2] [5] . In 1954 he was released [2] [5] , in May of that year he was completely rehabilitated, and on June 5 [4] he was reinstated in the party [3] . He worked as head of the regional river transport department, deputy chairman of the Executive Committee of the Leningrad Regional Council [2] [4] [5] .
He died on June 17, 1968 in Luga, and was buried in the Luga cemetery [2] .
