Rokkyo Mountain ( 六甲 山 Rokkō-san ) is the highest point of the Rokkyo Mountain Range, located in the southeast of Japanese Hyogo Prefecture .

Description
Rokkyo Mountain is the highest point of the Rokkyo Mountain Range. The area around the mountain is known as the Rokkyo area. The Rokyo mountain range is 56 km long and runs east to west from Sumara Khen Park in western Kobe to Takarazuki. The highest point is 931 m. The ridge also includes the Maya, Kabutoyama , Ivahara and Ivakura mountains.
Today, Mount Rokkyo is the central element of the popular tourist area in the Kansai metropolitan area. Mount Rokkyo is a symbol of the cities of Kobe and Osaka .
On Mount Rocco, observation platforms are arranged from which a panoramic view of the Gulf of Osaka and the city of Kobe opens. The night landscape, over the bay and the countless lights of the city, was called "Kobe night landscape for $ 10 million."
History
On Mount Rokkyo in 1903, Japan's first golf course was opened.

Details
For many years, the lenses made by Minolta’s company were called “Rokkor” in honor of Mount Rokkyo, near which the company’s headquarters were located.
