Sutulov, Lev Severyanovich

Born in 1906 in the city of Gerusy . Member of the CPSU (b) .

Since 1920 he worked in the apparatus of the Kazan Revolutionary Committee; participated in the Constituent Congress of Soviets of the Tatar SSR ^[1] .

In 1932 he graduated from the Military Medical Academy ; at the end of post-graduate studies at the department of A. A. Zavarzin, he taught there. Member of the Great Patriotic War ^[1] ; awarded military awards. In June 1944 he was dismissed from the ranks of the Red Army in the reserve ^[1] .

He headed the department of histology at the Astrakhan and Stalinabad medical institutes; at the same time (1947-1950) he headed the Stalinabad Medical Institute ^[1] .

From January 1951 to September 1976 - Head of the Department of Histology of the Ryazan Medical Institute, at the same time (June 1954 - August 1961) - Rector of the Institute ^[1] . He was the rector of the People's University "Young Medic" ^[1] .

In 1924-1933 he was a member of the Komsomol ; on behalf of N. K. Krupskaya wrote a brochure on the experience of the Leningrad Komsomol ^[1] .

He was elected a deputy of the Old Russian City Council (1925), the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of the 4th convocation, the Ryazan Regional Council of Workers' Deputies. Member of the party district committee (in Astrakhan, in Tajikistan), candidate member of the Astrakhan regional committee , member of the Ryazan city committee and Ryazan regional committee of the CPSU , delegate of the XX Congress of the CPSU ^[1] .

He died on August 30, 1981 in Ryazan, was buried in the Sorrow Church cemetery ^[1] .

In 1936 he defended his thesis, in 1954 - his doctoral dissertation. Professor (1955) ^[1] . The main areas of research ^[1] :

• experimental evaluation of the radioprotective radioprotective effect;
• histological and histochemical studies of the influence of space flight factors on experimental animals.

He made speeches at the International Congress (Austria, 1957), the Congress on Radiation (USA, 1958), the 7th International Congress of Anatomists (New York, 1960); He was on scientific missions in Belgium, Holland, France, Czechoslovakia. Member of the Board of the All-Union Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists and Embryologists ^[1] .

He prepared 7 doctors and 27 candidates of sciences. The author of about 140 scientific papers, 2 monographs, 3 study guides ^[1] .
