Geographic data

Geological features
Significant areas are occupied by biogenic deposits represented by peat with a thickness of up to 7-8 meters.
History
In the early 1920s, the Romanov Village Council was formed as part of the Lenin volost of the Petrograd district of the Petrograd province .
In August 1927, the Romanovsky Village Council became part of the Leninsky District of the Leningrad Region.
In November 1928, the abolished Probinsky village council was joined to the village council .
On August 20, 1930, the Leninsky district was liquidated, the Romanovsky village council became part of the Leningrad Prigorodny district .
On August 17, 1931, the abolished Rumbolovsky Village Council was annexed to the Romanovsky Village Council , and the Scheglovsky Village Council on August 10, 1934.
On September 19, 1939, the center of the Romanovsky village council of the Vsevolozhsk district was moved to the village of Shcheglovo , and the village council was renamed Shcheglovsky [4] .
According to 1997 data, as a result of the disaggregation of the Shcheglovsky volost , the Romanov volost was formed [5] .
On January 1, 2006, in accordance with regional law No. 17-oz dated March 10, 2004, the Romanovskoye rural settlement was formed , and it included the territory of the former Romanovskoy volost [6] .
