Emil Ring ( German: Emil Ring ; November 21, 1863, Tetchen , now Czech Republic - February 1, 1922) is an American conductor and composer of German origin.

Biography
He graduated from the Prague Conservatory , played the oboe in the orchestras of Leipzig, Berlin, Vienna. Since 1887 in the USA, he played in the orchestras of Boston and Cleveland, in 1888-1895 he taught at the Cleveland Conservatory. In 1902-1912, together with Johann Beck, he led the Cleveland Orchestra . For many years he also led the Cleveland Singing Society, who in 1900 performed Ring's oratorio "To Music" ( German An die Tonkunst ).
