Craig Gillespie ( Eng. Craig Gillespie ; September 1, 1967, Sydney, Australia) is an Australian filmmaker best known for the tragicomedy Lars and the Real Girl and the remake of Night Fear .

Biography
Born and raised in Sydney. Gillespie moved to New York at the age of nineteen [2] to study illustration, graphic design and advertising at the School of Fine Arts in Manhattan [3] [4] .
For 15 years, Gillespie worked as a commercial director, usually working with filmmakers Adam Kimmel and Rodrigo Prieto . He came to directing thanks to a friend who was the first to take up this profession and lured Craig .
Filmed commercials. As a director, he made his film debut in 2007 with the movie Mr. Woodcock , starring Sean William Scott , Billy Bob Thornton and Susan Sarandon .
