Kurovka (Saratov Region)

Kurovka is a village in the Novouzensky district of the Saratov region , as part of the rural settlement of the Olonovo municipality . Originally known as the village of Kursk [3] . The village is located on the banks of the Kazenny pond in the upper reaches of the Dura River [4] about 40 km in a straight line in the north-east direction from the regional center of Novouzensk .

History

The village of Kursk is mentioned in the List of populated areas of the Samara province, according to information from 1889. According to the List, the village belonged to the Novouzensk district of the Samara province, 113 residents lived here [5]

According to the List of populated areas of the Samara province in 1910, the village of Kursk belonged to the Nikolaev volost of the Novouzensk district of the Samara province, there lived 155 men and 163 women, the village was inhabited by former state peasants , mainly Little Russians , Orthodox , in the village a zemstvo school , a zemstvo station, bazaars were held on Sundays [6] .

In 1919, as part of the Novouzensk district, the village was included in the Saratov province [7] .
