Toni Spiridakis ( born Tony Spiridakis ; born January 1, 1959 , Queens , New York , USA ) [1] - American film director , screenwriter , actor , film producer and playwright . Most known for the films “ Death Thirst 3 ” ( 1985 ), “ Harem ” ( 1986 ), “ Brooklyn Castling ” ( 1991 ), “ Last Word ” ( 1995 ), “ If Lucy Falls ” ( 1996 ) and “ Script for the Kill ” ( 1997 ) [2] . Co-founder of the Manhattan Film Institute (2012) [3] . Member of the Screenwriters Guild of the United States , the Screen Actors Guild of the United States and the Directors Guild of America [4] .

Biography
Born in the family of the Greeks Alex and Eugenia Spiridakis, who immigrated to the United States from Crete ( Greece ). His father worked as a linotypist , and his mother as a teacher [5] .
He graduated from New York State University at Albany .
He studied acting at the Yale School of Drama [4] .
He studied under Nikos Psaharopoulos , Uta Hagen , Geraldine Page , Michael Kahn and .
After working in London with Stanley Kubrick on the film All-Metal Shell (1987), Spiridakis wrote his first screenplay, Brooklyn Castling (1991), inspired by Kubrick.
Since 2010 - Associate Professor at the at the Chapman University , where he teaches film production [3] .
He is fluent in Greek [6] .
Personal life
In 1996-2011, he was married to producer and actress , from whom he has sons Nikos and Dimitri from marriage. The second wife, Lisa Gillouli, has four children [3] .
