Slutskis, Mykolas

In 1951 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Vilnius University . It was published since 1945. His stories are lyrical and distinguished by the accuracy of psychological analysis. The novel "Good House" bears the features of the author's biography. Other novels described the political struggle in Lithuania of the first post-war years (“Stairway to Heaven”) or dealt with contemporary topics (“Adam's Apple”, “Restless My Harbor” and others). He wrote plays and scripts. Author of critical articles and literary portraits of Lithuanian writers, both classics ( Julia Юemaitė , Vintsas Mikolaitis-Putinas , Piatras Zvirka ) and contemporaries ( Eva Simonaitite , Alfonsas Belyauskas , ), as well as portraits of contemporary foreign writers ( Siegfried Lietz Jerzy Broshkevich , ). Member of the CPSU since 1950.
