Decouvertes gallimard

“Discoveries of Gallimard” ( French: “Découvertes Gallimard” , [dekuvɛʁt ɡalimaːʁ]; in Russia : “Opening” ) is a French book series created under the direction of Pierre Marchand and Elizabeth de Farsi. Published by Gallimar Publishing House since 1986. ^[1] Combines text and abundant illustrations and a handy pocket format (12.5 x 17.8 cm). Actually, this is not a series, but a collection of series - “Archeology”, “Art”, “History”, “Science”, “Religion”, “Traditions”, etc.

Initially, only French authors were represented in the series, but since 1992, the works of foreign (including Russian, for example, Olga Medvedkova ^[2] ) writers have also been published. Currently, the series has released more than 700 volumes. Since the publication of the first volume of À la recherche de l'Égypte oubliée (Russian edition: “In Search of Lost Egypt”) in November 1986, ^{[3] the} books of the series have gained popularity.
