WorldSkills Kazan 2019

On August 10, 2015, the general assembly of WorldSkills International, held in São Paulo ( Brazil ), voted in favor of the city hosting the WorldSkills World Championship of Excellence in 2019. According to the results of the vote, Kazan received the right to host the WorldSkills World Championship in 2019 ^[2] .

To prepare and conduct the championship, the Government of the Russian Federation created an organizing committee for the preparation and holding in Russia of the World Championship of World Skills in 2019 ^[3] .

On October 19, 2017, at the closing ceremony of the 44th WorldSkills AbuDhabi 2017 World Championship, the ceremony of handing over the Kazan flag of the WorldSkills championship of professional excellence took place ^[4] .

On December 17, 2017, the WorldSkills flag was sent to the ISS by the Soyuz MS-07 rocket, cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev , who delivered the flag into orbit, is the ambassador of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 World Championship ^[5] .

On March 12, 2018, the WorldSkills flag marathon was launched in Madrid . The flag passed a marathon in 20 countries that previously hosted world championships ^[6] .

After the completion of the flag marathon in Europe, it will be held in all 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and will arrive in Kazan on the opening day of the championship ^[7] .

In June 2019, the flag of the World Skills World Championship in Kazan was delivered to the North Pole by the icebreaker of Rosatomflot - “ 50 Years of Victory ” ^[8] . At the "top of the world" - 90 degrees north latitude and 00 degrees longitude, it was delivered by the winners of last year's championship, representatives of the PRC .

Before the championship, the organizers announced the expected indicators of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 overall results. Participation in the competitions is expected: 1300 participants from 63 countries of the world who will compete in 56 WorldSkills competencies ^[9] . All competencies are combined into six blocks ^[10] :

On June 15, 2019, during the celebration of Sabantui in Kazan, the mascots of the WorldSkills 2019 World Cup were presented: the boy Almaz and the girl Altyn, who excel in all areas of science, technology and the ability to overcome difficulties in mastering WorldSkills competencies. Championship mascots were determined by holding an all-Russian competition in which 81 works were presented. The winner was the work of architect Maxim Ovchinnikov from Samara , who created the Diamond. Later, the concept was finalized, and Altyn was added to the Diamond ^[11] .

As part of the preparation for the championship, the program “WorldSkills Kazan 2019 World Cup Ambassadors” is being implemented. WorldSkills Kazan 2019 has only seven ambassadors:

• Hero of the Soviet Union and the first Hero of the Russian Federation cosmonaut Sergey Krikalev ^[12] .
• Famous cook and restaurateur Arkady Novikov .
• The creator of the farm cooperative " LavkaLavka " Boris Akimov.
• Race driver, seven-time winner of the Dakar Rally , head of the KAMAZ-master racing team Vladimir Chagin .
• TV presenter and chef Konstantin Ivlev .
• Showman Alexander Gudkov .
• Rap artist Levan Goroziya ^{[13] [14]} .
