Biography
Born in 1899 in the Courland province (now the Terveta region of Latvia ). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1919.
Since 1917 - in military service, then in public and political work. Member of the Civil War, commander of the 191st regiment of the 201st Latvian Rifle Division, pomkomzvoda of the Special Forces named after Peters, participant in the fight against Basmachism in Central Asia, head of the 53rd border detachment of the NKVD of the East Siberian Territory, participant of the Great Patriotic War, deputy commander on the formation of the 201st Latvian Rifle Division, deputy commander of the 82nd Rifle Corps on the rear, military commissar of the Latvian SSR.
He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the USSR of the 4th convocation.
He died in 1959 in Riga.
