Biography

Born in 1910 in the Omsk region . In 1939 he graduated from the Literary Institute in Moscow. In 1939-42, the editor of the Kazakh state literary and public publishing house; student of the military pedagogical institute (1942–43); participant of the Great Patriotic War , deputy. editor of the newspaper of the 3rd Ukrainian Front "Soviet Warrior". Since 1946 - academician-secretary of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, head. Department of the Institute of Language and Literature (1961-76). In 1966, at the Institute of Literature and Art. M. O. Auezova defends her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Problems of studying the history of Kazakh literature of the pre-revolutionary period (XVIII, XIX and early XX centuries)” [2] .

The main scientific research is devoted to Kazakh folklore and the history of Kazakh literature . Translated into Kazakh language the works of F. Rable , I. S. Turgenev , A. P. Chekhov , R. Rollan , M. Gorky . He was awarded the orders of the Red Star , World War 2 degree [3] .
