Biography
Born June 15, 1850 in the village of Bebrovo . He graduated from the Theological Seminary in Kiev ( 1871 ) and the Faculty of Medicine of Moscow University ( 1876 ). He began the medical practice of a field doctor in the Oryol province ( 1876 ).
He participated as a volunteer in the Serbian-Turkish war ( 1876 ). During the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878) he was a doctor of the Second Militia Battalion of the Bulgarian Militia.
During the Serbo-Bulgarian War ( 1885 ) he was the chief physician of the Bulgarian Army ( 1882 - 1891 ). He supported the inclusion of Bulgaria in the international organization Red Cross . Member of the Medical Council ( 1883 - 1884 ).
Since 1898 - a member of the Bulgarian Literary Society. Chairman of the Natural Mathematics Division of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences ( 1926 - 1927 ). Member of the Union of Bulgarian scientists, writers and artists.
