Biography
Born October 1, 1953 in the city of Volos, in Magnesia, in Greece.
Secondary education in a church school in Thessaloniki. In 1981 he graduated from the Theological Institute of the University of Athens .
On April 13, 1978, he was ordained a deacon , and on December 26, 1981, he was ordained a presbyter . From 1981 to 1985, he worked at Radio Volos, being the proto-synkelllian cathedral. From 1985 to 1998, he was a Protosynkelle in the Metropolis of Dimitriad and Almir. From 1998 to 1999, he worked in the Secretariat of the Archbishop of Athens, Christodoulus.
On October 14, 1999 he was ordained to the rank of bishop and elevated to the dignity of Metropolitan of Thessalyotid and Fanariofersal. March 1, 2005 was retired.
Since 2006, it has been listed as a titular Metropolitan of Vresfensky. In 2007, the Archbishop of Athens, Christodoulus, petitioned for his election as Metropolitan of Messina, but after the protests of the episcopate and the public, another hierarch was elected to the Department of Messina [1] .
