Cieceres ( Latvian: Cieceres ) is a lake in the Brocene region of Latvia . Located near the city of Broceni . The area of the lake is 276.8 ha [2] . The lake is stretched from north to south, its length is 9.5 km, and the maximum width is 0.4 km [3] . The Dunupe and Mazupe rivers flow into the lake, and the Ciecere River flows . 7 species of fish live. The lake has the status of a nature reserve [1] .

The only island is Ozolu; its area is 14 hectares. From 1923 to 1977, this island had the status of a natural monument, and in 1977-1999 it was a botanical reserve [1] .
It was previously believed that the maximum depth of the lake is 50 m, but measurements taken in 2000 showed that the lake is no deeper than 22 m.
