Rod Argent (born 1945 ) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, composer and producer.

During his more than 50-year career, he became especially famous in the mid-1960s as the founder and keyboard player of the English rock band The Zombies [3] , creating a new group after its breakup Argent .

Biography
Born June 14, 1945 in the city of St. Albans, county Hertfordshire.
As a child, he was a choir singer in St Albans Cathedral . Studying at a St. Albanian school, he met and , with whom he first participated in jam on Easter 1961. Deciding to create a musical group, Argent asked his cousin Jim Rodford to join as a bass player. However, Rodford had already played in a local band called The Bluetones and refused. In 1961, Colin Blanstone and Paul Arnold joined the group. All five participants were students in schools. Soon Paul Arnold left the band and was replaced by . After a group with such a composition won a local music contest, they recorded a demo as their prize. She's Not There song on the single of the same name was recorded by Decca . [four]
Member of The Zombies and Argent . Then he took up a solo career - released several solo albums, wrote the musical Masquerade , which premiered in London in 1982.
