Harold Rosson ( born Harold Rosson ; April 6, 1895 - September 6, 1988 ) is an American cameraman. Five times nominated for an Academy Award for cinematography in the films The Wizard of Oz , The , Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo , Asphalt Jungle , and Bad Blood .

Biography
Born April 6, 1895 in New York , USA [4] . He began his career as an actor at the Vitagraph studio in 1908 [5] . In 1914, he worked as a ticket seller and projectionist at a small movie theater in Brooklyn [5] . As a cameraman made his debut on the set of the 1915 film "David Harum" directed by Allan Dvon . Best known for his films The Wizard of Oz , Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo , Bad Blood , Asphalt Jungle , and Singing in the Rain . In 1958 he retired, but returned to work in the Howard Hawks film " Eldorado " [5] . He has been a member of the American Society of Cameramen since 1927.
He died on September 6, 1988 in Palm Beach , USA [4] .
