Biography

Born in a Chuvash family in 1894 in the village of Aktay . He graduated from the Simbirsk Chuvash teacher's school (1913), Moscow Planning Institute (1931).

He worked in the Orinin and Morgaush primary schools of the Kozmodemyansky district (1913–16). Member of the First World War, ensign. On demobilization - an employee of the Kozmodemyansky district council.

Since the fall of 1918 in the Red Army: staff worker, assistant chief of staff and chief of the operational part of the headquarters of the Ural military district, assistant chief of staff of the West Siberian military district.

Since 1923, head of the regional land department, people's commissar of agriculture, deputy chairman of the Council of People's Commissars (at the same time chairman of the Planning Commission) of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

From November 1926 to May 1927, chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, then deputy representative of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic at the All-Russian Central Executive Committee. In the 1930s, the deputy chairman of the State Planning Commission, the deputy chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

Arrested on May 4, 1938. Accusation: He was one of the leaders of the anti-Soviet organization, was engaged in anti-Soviet activities.

September 16, 1941 A special meeting at the NKVD of the USSR decided to imprison A. Ya. Yakovlev for 8 years in prison, counting the term from May 4, 1938, under article 58 p. 7 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR.

He died in prison in 1948.

The date of rehabilitation by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic: November 30, 1955 Reasons for rehabilitation: "The resolution of the Special Meeting at the NKVD regarding Yakovlev was canceled and the case closed with proceedings because there was no corpus delicti in his actions."

Personal life

Before his arrest, he lived in the city of Cheboksary along Chernyshevsky Street (10, apt. 5).
