History
In 1860, the state bought the Petrovsko-Razumovskoye estate with adjoining land from its former owner, Pavel Alexandrovich von Schulz [2] . The construction of the Petrovsky Agricultural and Forestry Academy began on this territory. By 1865, the main educational building was erected by the architect Nicholas Benoit . Restoration of forest plantations was carried out by Alfons Romanovich Vargas de Bedemar , creation of a dendrological garden - by Richard Ivanovich Schroeder . The first forest around the Academy's experimental summer cottage was planted in 1862 [3] [4] .
In 1940, by the decision of the Council of People 's Commissars of the USSR, the territory of the Agricultural Academy was declared a reserve [5] . By the Decree of the Government of Moscow No. 564 of July 21, 1998 [6] and No. 1012 of December 29, 1998 [7] , the Petrovsko-Razumovskoye comprehensive reserve was created [8] . In 2004, it was transformed into the state environmental institution of the city of Moscow “Complex reserve“ Petrovsko-Razumovskoe ”” [5] .
At present, the territory of the reserve is being improved: road repair works are being carried out, inter-quarter fences are being restored, recreational facilities and ecological paths are being built [5] [9] .
