Southeast Asia , Taiwan [1] .
Description
The wingspan is about 10-11 cm. The main coloration is brownish-black with red and yellowish-cream marks. Hind wings with a wide blunt tail process with two veins. The species was first described as a subspecies of the Chinese species Papilio elwesi . Included in the subgenus: Agehana , Chilasa or Princeps [2] [3] .
Monophagus, the only rare caterpillar feed plant, Taiwan Sassafras ( Sassafras randaiense , Laurel family). Flight time is from January to May, with a peak in numbers in April-May.

Guard Status
A view close to a vulnerable position . It is included in the international list of rare and endangered species of organisms IUCN [1] . It is endangered due to information about habitats in mountain forests and the high price when sold to collectors [2] [3] .
