Biblical proper names, beginning with the letter C , are the subject of study of biblical onomastics (onomatology), branches of biblical studies that study the proper names of personalities mentioned in the Bible , theophore names , and also the names of cities and localities [1] . The list includes the following names: customary for the Jewish reader of the Old Testament - according to EEBE , customary for the Russian reader of the Synodal Translation - according to BEAN ; as well as the symbolic meaning peculiar to biblical names [1] .
