The village is located on the Safarovka River, 47 km south of the district center of the village Dergachi .

History
The state village Pedelka (aka Safarovka) is mentioned in the List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire according to the information of 1859. In 1859, more than 800 inhabitants lived in Pendelka, there were 2 mosques. The village belonged to Novouzensk district of the Samara province [3] . Subsequently, the village is also referred to as Novopendelka [4]
According to the List of populated areas of the Samara province in 1910, Altat belonged to the Osinovo-Gai volost , there were 2507 men and 2497 women, the village was inhabited by former state peasants , mainly Tatars , Mohammedans , in the village there were 3 mosques, 3 Mohammedan schools, 7 wind mills, Zemskaya station, conscript , paramedic point [5] .
In 1919, in the Novouzensky district, the village was incorporated into the Saratov province [6] .
