The third stage of the World Cup in speed skating in the 2017/2018 season was held from December 1 to 3, 2017 at the Olympic Oval of Calgary , Calgary , Canada . The races were held at distances of 500, 1000, 1500 meters, team race, mass start, team sprint, as well as 3000 meters for women and 5000 meters for men.

On the first day of the competition, two world records were set (they are the rink records) in the team sprint for men (Canada) and women (Russia).
On the second day of the competition, a world record was set (aka the rink record) in the women's team race (Japan) and the rink record in the men's team race (Netherlands).
On the third day, the rink’s records were broken at a distance of 500 meters in women ( Nao Kodaira ) and at a distance of 1,500 meters in men ( Denis Yuskov ). [one]
