Police Tero ( English Police Tero Football Club , Thai. สโมสร ฟุตบอล โป ลิ โร เท โร ) formerly known as BEC Tero Sasana is a Thai professional football club based in Bangkok . Currently playing in the Second League of Thailand.

History
The team was founded in 1992. It was formerly known as the Sasan Whittaya School team and was founded by Worawi Makudi. This team played their first football match in Division 3 in 1993. In 1994, the team improved in class, in 1995 the team already played in Division 1, and in 1996 the team first entered the big leagues . It was in that year that Voravie Macoody and Brian L. Markar, Managing Director of BEC-TERO Entertainment Public Co. Ltd. , teamed up and renamed the team to "Thero Sasana". The team took 12th position among 18 teams in the Thai league [1] .
In 1997, Thero Sasana football club also played in the Thai league, and this time it finished fifth. Later in 1998, the football club supported BEC-World Public Company Limited and the name of the team changed to “Tero Sasana Sasana”. The team finished third in the Thai league. She also became one of the eight teams that participated in the final round of the Thai Cup [2] .
In 1999, the team again took third place in the championship. In the same year, the club was among the participants in the playoffs of the Thai Cup. 2000 was a landmark year for the club - the team won its first league title. In 2001, Tero Sasana was able to defend his league title by winning the Thai Premier League for the second year in a row. This significantly increased the number of fans.
The success of the club lasted for several years, culminating in the final match in the AFC Champions League 2002/03. In the decisive match, the team met with the Emirate's Al Ain . After losing the first match away 2-0, Tero Sasana won with a minimum score at home, but could not equalize the total score [3] [4] .
In 2012, the club appointed Robert Procurator, the former general manager of Muangtong United , as the new sports director. He created a strong team, bringing in a number of young players, such as Tristan Do , Terasil Dangda , Chanathip Songkrasin . Fans called them the “Golden Generation", which helped the team win the Thai League Cup in 2014, the first trophy in 12 years [5] .
In 2015, after the club took third place from the end, but did not fly out, as another club, Saraburi, left the Thai league due to financial problems. However, in 2016, Brian L. Markar sold Thero Sasana to Inspire Entertainment , an Siamsport- affiliated company owned by Muangtong United. Robert Procurator was fired, and key players joined Muangtong United. [6]
In 2017, the Thai police acquired the club; in 2018, the club changed its name to Polis Thero [7] . At the end of the 2018 season, Polis Thero took 15th place and was eliminated in the Second League.
