Geography

The village is located in the southern part of the Altai Territory, at the southern foot of the Kolyvan Range , mainly on the right bank of the Korbolikha River, at a distance of about 5 kilometers (in a straight line) to the west of the city of Zmeinogorsk , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 337 meters above sea level [2] .
The climate is temperate, continental. The average January temperature is −15.1 ° C, July - +19.2 ° C. The annual amount of precipitation is 650 mm [3] .

History

Karamyshevo was founded in 1776 [4] . In the 1868 List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire, the settlement was mentioned as the Karamyshevsky factory mine in the Biysk okrug (3rd section) of the Tomsk province near the Korbalikha river. In the settlement there were 11 yards and 78 people lived (37 men and 41 women) [5] .
In 1899, in the village of Karamyshevsky, belonging to the Zmeinogorsk volost of the Zmeinogorsk district , there were 31 courtyards (26 peasant and 5 non-peasant) and 194 people (96 men and 98 women) [6] .
In 1926, in the village of Karamyshevskoye, there were 85 households and 498 people lived (239 men and 259 women). The first-level school functioned. Administratively, Karamyshevskoye was the center of the village council of the Zmeinogorsky district of the Rubtsovsky district of the Siberian region [4] .

In the village there is a secondary school, a kindergarten [10] , a feldsher-midwife station (a branch of the KGBUZ “Central District Hospital of Zmeinogorsk”) [11] , a culture center, a library and a post office of Russia .
