Biography
Born in Troki in a poor Karaite family. He graduated from midrash with the title of "Ribby", which, under the Trok Gakham I.-B. Z. Kaplanovsky was not easy enough. He wanted to continue his education, but it became impossible because of the death of his father. From 1899 to 1903 he served as a ghazan and teacher of the Hebrew language in Kherson , who was forced to leave due to the difficult financial situation [2] . Engaged in farming and trade. He privately taught Hebrew lessons of Karaite youth, trying to instill in them a love for native literature [3] . The last years of his life served as a junior hazzan in Troki. In 1911, on the instructions of the Troka of Karaite spiritual government, excavated an ancient Troitsky Karaite cemetery, where they found the headstone of the doctor Ezra ben Nisan ha-Rofe (1595–1666), who, according to legend, cured of a serious illness the daughter of Polish king Jan Casimir [2] . On October 30, 1911, he participated in the first bookmark ceremony in Vilna of kenassa [4] .
He was the author of unpublished theological works and religious poetry in Hebrew in honor of various social events [5] .
He died in 1913 in Trokah [2] .
