Features and Specifications
The phone case is created by milling from a single piece of aluminum. Buttons and a back panel are also metallic. The phone is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS display with a brightness of 500 nits, protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass with a 2.5D effect without air gap. There is an oleophobic coating. As the operating system in the global version of the device, pure Android ™ 7.1.1 Nougat is used without any additional shells, which positively affects the speed and overall performance of the smartphone as a whole. Nokia 5 has two cameras: the main one with a resolution of 13 megapixels with an aperture of F.2.0, the front with a resolution of 8 megapixels with autofocus, a tray for two SIM cards and a separate tray for Micro-SD card. The TFA9891 Adaptive Smart Amplifier provides multimedia speaker performance. Unlike older models, Nokia 5 does not support stereo audio output through speakers, where a conversational speaker acts as a second loudspeaker. The middle button is a fingerprint scanner without the possibility of mechanical pressing. On the sides of the scanner, there are touch-sensitive navigation buttons with backlight.

Operating System
Nokia 5 has Android 7.1.1 OS installed. The smartphone receives monthly security updates, since pure Android is used as the operating system. Contrary to the claims of HMD Global, Nokia 5 did not receive Android 8 Oreo until the end of 2017. Starting from (judging by the date of the announcement of the security system update) on January 1, 2018, an update to Android 8.0 Oreo was received, as evidenced by the numerous reviews of the owners of the device about updating the system and improving its functions.
