History
It was named so for distinguishing it from the wood chips in Privoz , known since 1809 [1] .
Under Soviet rule , 1947-1991, the street was called "Estonian" [2] .
With the independence of Ukraine, the street was returned to its historical name.

The Old Christian cemetery adjoins the street, as well as the territory of the Zoo [3] and the Privoz market.
